Why Estate and Business Planning?
My mom’s story: My mother’s parents passed by the time she was 18. With no prior arrangements made, my mom at 18, accepted the responsibility to care for her five younger siblings. With no guidance, she did what she could. Sadly, within a year of their death, my mom and her siblings lost everything. Other than a few pictures, all tangible and intangible assets were lost.
My husband’s story: At age 6, his single mother passed away of cancer. With some time to plan, his mother made arrangements for all of the eight minor children and her assets. The arrangements included guardianship nominations with godparents, family members, and friends. Although the loss of their mother is still felt, they have all grown to be well-adjusted contributing members of society.
At Aria Law, PLLC, we are here to help families make proper arrangements, just like my husband’s mother. The kind of planning that leaves a legacy of protection and love. Our services focus on family protection, wealth preservation, and values-based planning for individuals, families, and businesses. We are here to guide clients through financial and legal decisions to craft a plan that achieves their goals today and for years to come. Family assets are not just financial, but more importantly include the client’s values, wisdom, experience, and life story. So, we incorporate these intangible assets into the client’s estate plan so that the client’s family may be able to carry these assets forward for many generations to come.
